Equal access to quality higher education is at the core of our founding mission.

Walden University was founded in 1970 to provide access to graduate education that had long been restricted to an elite few

An Education for Good® provides working adult learners the knowledge and credentials to drive systemic change. By creating opportunities for diverse working adult learners to advance their education, Walden has helped generations of alumni blaze a trail for change in their professions and communities. It’s why our mission matters and why our faculty and staff are so committed to our students’ success.
